Bio for Jannali Jones:

Jannali has published poetry in Etchings: Indigenous and presented papers on Indigenous literature in both Australia and the U.S.  In 2011 she was selected for the Young Writer-In-Residence Program at the Katharine Susannah Pritchard Writers’ Centre in Perth.  Jannali has received awards for her short stories and prose, and for her academic achievement in her Master of Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Bio for Brenda Saunders:

Brenda Saunders is an artist and writer from the Wiradjuri language group, who grew up in the Sydney. Her poetry and articles have been published in selected anthologies, poetry journals and on the web and she is listed on Black Words (AustLit. site). She has read at several poetry events such as the Sydney Writers Festival in 2011 and her work was recently featured on ‘Awaye’ and ‘Poetica’ ABC RN. Brenda won the Banjo Patterson Poetry Prize 2010 and was recently short-listed for the David Unaipon Prize in the Queensland Premier’s Literary Awards 2011.
